Together, engineers have developed, designed, and tested the BG-3 to finally meet the needs of engine manufacturers through cutting-edge technology and patented inventions. This partnership allows Sierra to design the most innovative and state-of the art product on the market. Sierra owns the exclusive worldwide license on Caterpillar's patented micro-dilution technology Patent #5,058,440 and systems flow control features described in United States patent #6,615,677 and two additional US patents. Sierra Emissions Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sierra Instruments, Inc.
In addition to Sierra's Caterpillar partnership, other technology partnerships are shaping Sierra's next generation emissions sampling tools and test cell automation technologies to complement the BG-3.
